Governed AI for government workflows

Bytelink Technologies designs and builds AI for internal government workflows, such as correspondence triage, summarisation and drafting support. Every system keeps an officer in control and logs every action for audit. It handles data in the way the agency has agreed. Bytelink Technologies is an Australian company in Brisbane, Queensland. It offers this work to Australian Government and Queensland Government teams anywhere in Australia. Each project has a fixed price or a day rate, agreed in writing.

Where governed AI helps

The best candidates are internal, document-heavy workflows where officers spend time finding and organising information before they can apply their judgement.

Correspondence and document triage

The system classifies, summarises and routes incoming items to the right team, and extracts key details for the officer who handles them.

Briefing and summarisation

The system condenses long submissions, reports and case histories into consistent summaries, with references back to the source text.

Information extraction

The system pulls details from forms, applications and attachments into case management systems, and flags uncertain items for a person.

Policy and procedure search

Officers ask questions in plain English and get answers drawn from approved internal documents, with citations.

Drafting support

The system prepares first drafts of routine responses for an officer to review, edit and approve.

Governance designed in from the start

Bytelink Technologies designs each system to support an agency's obligations under the Australian Government's Policy for the responsible use of AI in government. That policy is version 2.0, effective 15 December 2025. The design follows the 6 essential practices in the National AI Centre's Guidance for AI Adoption, published on 21 October 2025. Queensland Government agencies can also map each system to the Foundational Artificial Intelligence Risk Assessment (FAIRA) framework.

  • Decide who is accountable. The agency names the accountable official for each system, and the documentation gives that person what they need to know
  • Understand impacts and plan accordingly. Bytelink Technologies assesses the workflow, the people affected and the classification of the information before the build starts
  • Measure and manage risks. A person approves every output that affects a decision, so the AI recommends and officers decide
  • Share essential information. Documentation supports the agency's AI transparency statement, and the system logs inputs, outputs, approvals and changes for audit and review
  • Test and monitor. Bytelink Technologies evaluates accuracy on agency examples before use, and the agency can monitor it in use. An officer can pause the automation at any time
  • Maintain human control. Access follows existing permissions, so the AI only sees what the officer can see, and an officer can override any output
  • Bytelink Technologies agrees data handling with the agency before it builds anything, including where processing and storage happen
  • Bytelink Technologies can deploy each system inside the agency's own cloud environment, under its security policies and assessment processes
  • Model and vendor choices follow current Australian Government direction under the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF). That includes Direction 001-2025 on DeepSeek products (4 February 2025) and Direction 004-2025 on Commonwealth technology management (22 October 2025)

Working with Bytelink Technologies

Bytelink Technologies is an Australian company based in Brisbane, Queensland, founded by an Australian Army veteran. You work directly with the engineer who designs and builds the system, and Bytelink Technologies delivers the work from Brisbane.

Bytelink Technologies is also open to work as a specialist subcontractor alongside larger suppliers.

Questions from government teams

Can a governed AI system run in our own cloud environment?

Yes, a governed AI system from Bytelink Technologies can run in the agency's own cloud environment. That environment is the agency's own account with its cloud provider, and the system runs under the agency's security policies.

How does Bytelink Technologies handle security classifications?

Bytelink Technologies asks for the classification of the information at the start, because the design, hosting, access arrangements and model choice all follow from it. Some work must run inside the agency's own cloud environment, and the design reflects that.

How can an agency buy from Bytelink Technologies?

An agency can start with an enquiry through the contact page or by email, and Bytelink Technologies replies with a written scope and price.
